Dual Enrollment

Steps to apply:

  1. Students must meet with their high school counselor to retrieve the necessary paperwork.

    • Public high school students only, please complete a PHSC dual enrollment application online. All others must complete and submit documentation as outlined in the relevant section lower on this page.
  2. Proof of Unweighted GPA–3.0 minimum.
    • GPA form signed by high school guidance counselor.
    • An official transcript that shows the student's unweighted GPA signed by the high school guidance counselor.
  3. Test scores such as ACT, SAT, PERT if available.
  4. Course registration form.  
  5. Complete the proper permission form, available from the student's high school guidance counselor.
  6. Submit all documents to a PHSC admissions representative and retrieve a student ID number.
  7. Complete and submit test scores, if necessary.
  8. Meet with a PHSC academic advisor, submit all forms and obtain approval for courses.

Note: PHSC cannot accept unofficial documents.

Dual Enrollment for Home Schools

Home-schooled students must obtain PHSC approval before registering for classes. Please contact Academic Affairs if you have any questions regarding the articulation process detailed below via email at academicaffairs@phsc.edu.

How to begin the articulation process:

  1. Complete, date and sign both the Home School Dual Enrollment Articulation Agreement Information form (SAR-65B) and the Articulation Agreement. By signing this Articulation Agreement, the non-public school is certifying that the school is in compliance with Florida Statutes 1002.01 and 1002.42.

  2. Provide a copy of official documentation of the eligible grade level for each dually enrolled student (see Articulation Agreement for eligible grade level).

  3. Include documentation confirming that each student maintains an overall un-weighted grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or above.

  4. Provide written verification of each student’s enrollment in a home education program in the Pasco or Hernando County school district. This information is available by contacting the district school board office.

  5. Review PHSC’s current College Catalog and Student Handbook.

Dual Enrollment for Non-public or Private Schools

The college requires articulation agreements to be in effect in order for secondary students to attend classes at PHSC as dual enrollment students.

How to begin the articulation process:

  1. Complete, date and sign both the Non-Public School Dual Enrollment Articulation Agreement Information form (SAR-65A) and the Articulation Agreement. By signing this Articulation Agreement, the non-public school is certifying that the school is in compliance with Florida Statutes 1002.01 and 1002.42.
  2. Provide a copy of official documentation of the eligible grade level for each dually enrolled student (see Articulation Agreement for eligible grade level).
  3. Provide written documentation that each student maintains an overall un-weighted grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or above as is required.
  4. Review PHSC’s current College Catalog and Student Handbook.

Additional articulation agreement information

  • After completing and returning the Articulation Agreement, the agreement must be approved and signed by PHSC’s District Board of Trustees before a term begins in order for students to be eligible to enroll in classes.
  • The Articulation Agreement will be in effect from the date signed by PHSC through the end of that academic year’s summer term in accordance with the dates published in the current College Catalog and Student Handbook.
  • If approved, a signed copy of the Articulation Agreement will be mailed to the home school or non-public/private school.

  • A copy of the current Florida Department of Education Articulation Coordinating Committee Statewide Agreement for Dual Enrollment Courses - High School Equivalency List is available at the Florida Department of Education website.
  • The deadline for submission of home school and private school dual enrollment articulation agreements for the October (20191 B) term is August 31, 2018.  The deadline for submission of home school and private school dual enrollment articulation agreements for the 2019 spring term is October 31, 2018, and for the 2019 spring term B the deadline is January 31, 2019. Please follow the guidelines for submitting the articulation agreement on this page.

Important note: This process must be repeated each year that the home school or non-public/private school wishes to enroll students in PHSC’s dual enrollment program. It will be the non-public/private school’s responsibility to notify PHSC by May 30 of each year that it wishes to renew this agreement.

Collegiate High School

Students interested in applying for the Collegiate High School program should contact their high school guidance counselor in order to retrieve the appropriate paperwork.
