Acceptable Citizenship Documents

Pursuant to Rule 6A-10.044, F.A.C. and per Florida Statute 1009.21, effective Fall 2026 all Florida College System (FCS) institutions are required to collect proof of U.S. citizenship or proof that a student is lawfully present in the U.S. for purposes of determining that a student is eligible for residency for tuition purposes. It is the responsibility of the applicant to provide valid documentation verifying their current U.S. legal status as part of the admissions review process.

  • U.S. Birth Certificate
  • U.S. Passport
  • U.S. Certificate of Naturalization
  • Employment Authorization Document (EAD)
  • Permanent Resident Card (Green Card)
  • I-94 Form
